The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (the Agency) organized a medical campaign aimed at identifying health problems in individuals requiring special care at an early stage and preventing potential complications.
Medical staff from Nizami Medical Center and Children's Polyclinic No. 8 participated in the initiative. As part of the campaign, residents of three children's shelters in Baku and members of the Public Union "Disabled Women's Society" underwent examinations by a team of specialists, including a therapist, pediatrician, surgeon, gynecologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, cardiologist, and dermatologist. A total of 260 individuals took part in the action.
In addition to the medical examinations, laboratory tests were conducted to evaluate the general health of children and women. Results revealed vitamin D deficiencies in some individuals, and for others, inpatient examination and treatment were deemed necessary. Conditions such as phimosis, adenoid hypertrophy, chronic tonsillitis, cardiac arrhythmia, left-sided inguinal hernia, and nasal septum deviation were identified. These individuals were referred for the necessary treatments and surgeries with the Agency's support.
Notably, a reduction in skin diseases was observed during follow-up examinations, compared to results from examinations and treatments conducted four months prior.
As part of the campaign, medications were provided free of charge to the examined individuals, as prescribed by doctors.
The Agency remains committed to supporting vulnerable groups, ensuring timely medical examinations and treatments to address their healthcare needs effectively.
