The Reveos automated blood processing system and the Spectra Optia blood component separator, recently purchased by the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency), are set to enhance the quality of blood component preparation, ensuring high standards and optimal care for patients. The Reveos system represents cutting-edge technology in automated whole blood processing, commonly utilized in advanced hospitals across developed countries. Within 20 minutes, it efficiently extracts high-quality blood components such as plasma, platelets, and erythrocyte masses from whole blood. The equipment can process up to 18,000 units of whole blood and blood components annually.
These processed blood components are crucial for treating individuals with blood and bone marrow disorders, managing bleeding complications during ectopic pregnancies, supporting patients before, during, and after childbirth, assisting those undergoing surgery, and addressing critical injuries from accidents, industrial incidents, and burns.
The Spectra Optia blood separator is capable of performing various procedures, including therapeutic apheresis, plasmapheresis, leukocyte removal, erythrocyte exchange, and bone marrow processing. It is instrumental in collecting stem cells from the blood for bone marrow transplantation and is also used to treat complications from bone marrow transplants, metabolic disorders, autoimmune diseases, leukemia, liver failure, and other conditions. The efficiency of this equipment allows healthcare professionals to devote more time to patient care.
It should be noted that two units of the German-made Reveos system and four units of the Spectra Optia apheresis system have been installed at "Yeni Klinika."
