The Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), together with the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (the Agency), organized a media tour at Khazar Medical Center. The event aimed to familiarize media representatives with the Center’s infrastructure, advanced medical facilities, the implementation of the mandatory health insurance system, and the organization of medical services provided.
Welcoming the participants, Zamira Adilova, Head of the Public Relations and Communications Department of the TABIB that this was the fourth and final media tour jointly organized by the TABIB, and the Agency in the current year.
She emphasized that such tours provide journalists with a valuable opportunity to familiarize themselves with medical institutions, observe innovations firsthand, and convey accurate and reliable information to the public.
“One of TABIB’s key priorities is ensuring transparency and accessibility of information. In this context, efforts to launch official websites for subordinate medical institutions have been intensified. This year, the “Single Hospital Website” project was implemented, and the development of official websites for 20 TABIB-affiliated medical institutions is currently underway. The official website of the Central Oil Workers Hospital has already been completed. In addition, work continues on the websites of the Binagadi, Khatai, and Sumgait medical centers, as well as the central district hospitals of Guba and Lankaran.”
Aynura Ahmadova, Head of the Agency's Marketing and Public Relations Department, highlighted that the introduction of mandatory health insurance has created conditions for improving the quality of medical services and strengthening infrastructure at the Khazar Medical Center:
“In recent years, the Center’s material and technical base have been modernized, with diagnostic and treatment capabilities significantly expanded through the installation of advanced medical equipment. Today, the Center is equipped with modern tools for diagnostics and treatment, including electromyography, treadmill stress tests, Holter monitoring, and gastroscopy. In addition, a Level 3 laboratory operating 24/7 has been established, greatly improving patients’ access to timely and accurate diagnostic services.”
Yagut Garayeva, Head of the Medical Service Development Department of TABIB, provided details on the medical services available at Khazar Medical Center and shared information about upcoming projects.
Mubariz Aghayev, Director of Khazar Medical Center, stated that a total of 230,724 people applied to the Khazar Medical Center between January and November 2025:
"There has been an increase in the provision of medical services to citizens. Thus, from January to November, 230,724 people received a total of 780,134 medical services. During that period, 5,125 people received inpatient treatment. In the first 11 months of 2025, a total of 2,713 surgical procedures were performed. Efforts are ongoing to further enhance the number and quality of surgical services."
Afterwards, the participants explored the Polyclinic, Radiology, Laboratory, and Emergency Departments at Khazar Medical Center.
During the tour, media representatives also underwent relevant medical examinations at the facility.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
