Statement by the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance

Some social media accounts have spread unsubstantiated information regarding discontinuation of Town Hospital in Khudat and suspension of workers employed at the health care facility.

In this regard, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance states that after the inspection of hospital building by the representatives of Agency the hospital's condition was found to be unsatisfactory for delivery of healthcare services. It was decided to take necessary measures to address the existing shortcomings.

We reiterate that no layoffs are planned at the health care facilities due to implementation of mandatory health insurance in the country. On the contrary, the rules have been approved for improvement of the quality of services delivered at healthcare facilities and calculation of increments to salaries of health workers.
