Korea-Azerbaijan Medical Cooperation webinar

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan organized webinar within the “Medical Korea 2020” project in cooperation with State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (SAMHI) and Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) on 17 September 2020. Representatives of the Embassy, SAMHI, TABIB and KHIDI attended the webinar. The webinar focuses on the promotion of the Korean highly developed medical industry and studying local market. During the meeting, the Korean delegation got informed with the work done in our country about the implementation of mandatory health insurance and the prospects for future cooperation between Korea and Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the webinar, the chairman of the agency, Zaur Aliyev, highly appreciated the cooperation between Korea and Azerbaijan. He emphasized that the health of citizens is a factor in the economic development of the country and informed about the measures taken by the Agency to provide the population with high-quality medical services. He said that cooperation in the field of health will contribute to the measures undertaken.

At the meeting, a representative of the Agency made a presentation on "Implementation of mandatory health insurance in Azerbaijan".

Ambassador Kim Tong Op expressed his hope for further development of cooperation in medical industry through this platform during his remarks. Representatives of KHIDI made presentation on “Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Industry in Korea”.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of interest and possible prospects for further cooperation.
